Live on the Internet at http://www.whrwfm.org/listenlive.php

Monday, May 3rd, 6-7 PM (EDT)

Join co-hosts Mike Hudak and Bill Huston for a conversation with Ron
Khosla, veganic vegetable producer and director of "Certified
Naturally Grown" (http://www.naturallygrown.org/), the United States'
largest alternative to USDA Organic certification.

Ron Khosla and his wife operate Huguenot Street Farm
(http://www.flyingbeet.com/) in New Paltz, NY (USA), a commercial
vegetable farm selling to 225 local CSA (Community Supported
Agriculture) families as well as 3 restaurants and 2 natural food
stores.

Since 1999 they have farmed veganically, that is, organically with
the additional restrictions of no animal manure nor bone/blood/fish
meal. Over the ensuing years their farm has become one of the most
efficient in the Northeastern U.S., producing one of the highest
ratios of tons of food harvested per man-hour of labor even as
repeated soil tests show continuous improvements to their soil's
organic matter levels, soil structure and nutrient ratios.

Questions for Ron about veganic agriculture and related issues can be
phoned in during the show at 607-777-2137.
