AR-News: (MA) ALERT: Summerville library promoting cruel Iditarod

On April 28, at 7 p.m., the Central Summerville Library, 79 Highland Ave., 
will screen "Iditarod...A Far Distant Place," a film which promotes the Iditarod 
dog sled race. The film  refers to the Iditarod as sporting adventure and as 
an America tradition. Please tell the organizations presenting the screening 
that this horrific race is not either of these things. Ask them to cancel the 
screening or give equal time to the animal protection viewpoint. 

The organizations involved are the Friends of the Somerville Public Library, 
Filmmakers Collaborative, and the Somerville Arts Council. Their emails are
