AR-News: Sunday's IL and CA Fundraisers

Dear Friends of SHARK, 

Here's a reminder about this Sunday's Fundraisers in Illinois and California. 

Chicago, IL Details: 

Chicago area animal protectors are invited to celebrate media exposure of 
animal cruelty issues to the public! Please join us on Sunday, April 25 at 1:30 
p.m. to watch the premier of the Genesis Awards on Animal Planet, which airs at 
2 p.m. The Genesis Awards annually honor major news and entertainment media 
for producing outstanding works that raise public awareness of animal issues. 

Date:  Sunday, April 25th 
Place:  Tai's Lounge 
Location:  3611 N. Ashland Ave., Chicago, IL 
Time:  1:30 p.m. -  4:30 p.m. 

We are asking for a donation of $20.00, which will include a raffle with 
great prizes, vegan appetizers plus draft beer, wine and soda, and all the 
proceeds will go directly towards SHARK's fight to end cruelty to animals. SHARK will 
also have our anti-rodeo t-shirts available for sale. 

If you plan to attend, please reply to sharkintl at sharkonline.org with the 
number of people attending, so we can plan accordingly. 


Irvine, CA Details: 

Please join SHARK activist, Pat Vinet, who will be hosting a fundraising 
event to coincide with the Genesis Awards in California. Pat was interviewed by 
Jens Romundstad, star of the Danish bullfighting documentary, Biker Jens: A Life 
on the Edge, which won the prestigious Brigitte Bardot International Award 
this year! 

Date:  Sunday, April 25th 
Place:  Lamppost Pizza 
Location:  4230 Barranca Parkway (on corner at West Yale Loop), Irvine, CA

Time:  11:30 a.m. 

Enjoy vegan pizza, and after the show, we will play the complete clips from 
the awards featuring SHARK from the two winning programs, plus a couple of 
other very short clips showing some of the work for the animals we've been 
involved in recently. 

Pat will also have a raffle with great prizes and SHARK's anti-rodeo t-shirts 
available for sale.
