What: Supporters Needed at Hearing on Foie Gras Ban
When: Monday, April 26, 1:30 p.m.
Where: Room 3191, The Capitol, Sacramento, California

Hi all,
We need supporters to come to the first legislative hearing for SB 1520, a 
bill to ban the force feeding of ducks and geese and the sale of foie gras 
in California. The opposition has been working hard to defeat this bill and 
will likely bring a large crowd to the hearing to try to sway the 
legislators. We will have expert witnesses to testify on the subject but we 
need as many people as possible there to stand up and register support. If 
you can attend, please email Teri Barnato at teri at avar.org to let her know 
you will be coming. (We will have support buttons to pin on when you get 
there.) The hearing starts at 1:30 p.m. that afternoon in Room 3191. Hope
