Dear Friends,
The remainder of this week and next Monday, please make an enormous effort to
contact Illinois Senators. Please call and/or fax IL Senators in their
district offices and ask that he/she support legislation that will ban horse
slaughter in IL for human consumption. Please don't worry about the bill # at this
time - simply ask them to support a ban on horse slaughter in IL. You may
also e-mail or snail mail them, and you can find that contact info.at:

If the Senator is not in the office, please ask the secretary to leave a
message that you want the Senator to support this ban and that you would like the
Senator to return your call (if you're their constituent).
Beginning Tuesday April 20th, please continue to call the Senators, but
please direct your calls to their Springfield offices.
It is imperative that the Senators feel the support for this ban by their
CONSTITUENTS, but please also contact them if you live outside IL. The more, the
better!
Please ask your family and friends who live in Illinois to take a moment to
contact their Senator as well. They can find their Senator at:

We need to create a ground swell of support in all IL districts for this
bill.
The horses are depending on our efforts!!!
