The Oswego County Animal Welfare League participated in its largest rescue
ever last Saturday when a Brewerton man surrendered 89 animals.

Cruelty investigators arrested the animals’ owner, who has been charged
with two misdemeanors. He could face additional charges in the case.

"The rescue was a big success," said OCAWL president Judy Spicer. "It was
the biggest rescue we’ve ever done, and we’ve never rescued these types of
animals before."
