AR-News: (US-ca)Ex-CFO of L.A. SPCA Accused of Stealing

[Animalconcerns]

LOS ANGELES - A former executive of the Society for the Prevention of
Cruelty to Animals, Los Angeles, was arraigned Friday on charges that he
stole nearly $940,000 in donations.

Kenneth Brookwell, 63, pleaded innocent to forgery, grand theft and filing
false state tax returns. Bail was set at $460,000.
