Rescuers managed to save six horses trapped in the fire
A farmer has spoken of his devastation after a number of his animals were 
killed in a stable fire. 
Four horses, a dog, her litter of puppies and five cats and kittens were 
killed during the blaze in Fochriw, near Rhymney in south Wales. 
An investigation into the cause of the fire is being carried out. 
The fire is thought to have begun at about 0130 BST on Thursday but despite 
efforts to save the animals by neighbours, a number perished. 
Frank Jones, who cares for the animals said he was "devastated" by what had 
happened.
