AR-News: (US) PETA ADDS $2, 500 TO NAB EL DORADO HILLS DEER TORTURER, KILLER

El Dorado Hills, Calif. — More than a dozen deer have been shot to death with 
a crossbow since January or February. "They’re being gut shot—through the 
stomach, not in a vital organ—and it’s a very long, slow death," resident Eric 
Jayquith told news sources. The animals bleed to death, suffering for 8 to12 
hours in agony before dying. Police have yet to make any arrests in connection 
with the deer’s torturous deaths. That is why PETA is offering as much as 
$2,500, in addition to $1,000 offered by Californians Turn in Poachers and 
Polluters (CALTIP), for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the 
person or persons responsible for this violent crime.
