Dickson woman charged with two felony counts of animal cruelty 



A Dickson woman has been charged with two felony counts of animal cruelty after allegedly killing two of her stepson's chained dogs.
Brenda Gayle Walker was arrested on March 27 by Dickson police officers who responded to a domestic disturbance call at Walker's residence. The officers found two dead pit bull dogs, both with small caliber gunshot wounds to the head. The animals were found still chained in front of their doghouses. Walker told the officers the dogs had tried to attack one of her horses.

The Dickson officers arrested Walker for animal cruelty and assault and battery on a minor. Walker was placed under a $5,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. on May 27.
