Subject: Updates regarding Galatzi'strays

05.04.2004
Dear friends,
First of all, many thanks for all who send protest letters these days to Galatzi local authorities....all letters are saved in my computer as prouve...
THE GOOD NEWS : Local authorities stopped their campaign, they will not take anymore dogs from streets and hopefully, the current City Hall 'shelter will be closed!!!!!
If we have one voice,united-this is a prouve that something can be changed in animals'favour!!!!

Today I went to take from City Hall shelter the paralised dog with others health problems ,to take him to our vets, for treatment.Tomorrow morning,I'll pay the "adoption tax" and I'll "adopt" him, because it would be easier for me to supervise him and poor dog will be less stressed..I'm going to adopt all doggies with health problems,to offer them treatment and good care at ROLDA shelter!!!!
The paralised dog is recovering slowly ...it is a good chance that he will not be paralised forever,if I'll adopt and help him do exercises for back legs 'muscles daily.
After ecography, our vets. think that my doggy has still good chances to survive ..while he was on surgery table today, the poor baby gave the paw to me and vet. assistant..I cried a lot about this, how greatfull poor doggies are when they feel love and when they feel protected and well cared!!!!

I pray that local authorities don't change their attitude and I pray they stop chassing, tormenting and collecting dogs from streets from now on!
I think your protests were good enough and contributed a lot,for the first time all over Romania to change a tragic situation regarding strays!

Still, there are more than 200 dogs in City Hall shelter plus ROLDA'doggies that need food ,medical care and doggies'items.
Please contact me as always with your thoughts!
I think I'm going to sleep with a clear conscience tonight and I 'm sure you'll feel that, too!
Respectfully,
Dana
