Subject: [spotsociety] DNA looking for large breeds.

There is a lady in FL who is contacting Dobe rescues. So far she has
contacted 6 different rescue groups stating she was adopting one of their
dogs. Anyway, this and serveral other items started showing up as red flags
to the rescuers.

Excerpt from email to Doberman rescue list:

This lady told Jane that she had a dog before, but it was killed in some
freak accident where the dog was in the garage and a car crashed into the
garage, killing the dog. She told a different rescue that the dog was in
the front yard and got hit by a car. She also said she wouldn't care if a
dog was aggressive, because, she alleges, he'll be an only dog.

  Red flags everywhere...

Jane and others believe this lady is buying bait dogs for fighting. I
know there has been Pit Bull fighting going on in Zephyrhills, so it
wouldn't be a total shocker.

Please forward this to any large breed rescues in Florida, GA, and
possibly other SE states. One of the shelters that she told she was sending
a check to adopt a dog is in Georgia.

This lady's name is Susan. It is a Zephyrhills address. She says she's a
music director, I believe, at a catholic church. It's just her and her
daughter in the home.

    Too many red flags.

Please put the word out. Of course, we don't know anything for sure, but
we want every rescue group to be very cautious. Talk to other rescues.
She's told at least 6 Doberman rescues that she's adopting their dogs. Who
knows how many other breed rescues she's contacted.
  Just be careful.
