Despite inclement weather, 165 walkers and 89 canines walked through Parvin 
State park, April 4 in support of the Cumberland County SPCA's 10 Annual "Step 
for a Pet Walk-A-Thon." Dogs ranging from a tiny 8lb. Yorkshire terrier to a 
majestic 170 lb. Great Dane braved the elements to raise over $20,000 for the 
animals; making it the highest fund raiser in shelter history! 
The event was sponsored by the CCSPCA Auxiliary under the direction of CCSPCA 
Cruelty Agent Supervisor, Bev Greco and Volunteer Coordinator, Kelly Lee, of 
Quinton. The top three participants raising the most money were: Caralynn 
Elbertson, Vineland; Kay Romanik, Vineland; Brian and Hope Cox of Millville.
