NATALIE CLARKE

12:00 - 03 April 2004

Natalie Clarke, a 24-year-old student at Staffordshire University, took
time out from taking pictures for her photography course to grab a vegetarian
lunch at the Cherry Tree in London Road, Newcastle. She says the pub is the tops
for vegetarians.

"I have only been to the Cherry Tree once. It was a really busy Sunday
afternoon. All the men were watching the football on one side of the pub while on
the other side, there's a restaurant which does 17-inch platters for main meals.
"I'm a vegetarian. I think the Cherry Tree is great because it caters for
vegetarians. It does quite a good selection of food which is good because some
pubs I go to don't really offer much to vegetarians. You can often only get a
vegetarian lasagne or an omelette, but this place is really good.

"After scanning the menu, I opted for the Cheesy Pepper Pots. You have two
peppers, one filled with a tomato salsa filling, the other with a creamy cheese
filling which was probably mozzarella.
