AR-News: (US FL) Animals wounded; agency seeks shooter

Animal Care & Control officers are searching for the person who has been 
shooting arrows into animals along U.S. 441.

Officers were called Monday to the area of Lake Worth Road and U.S. 441 to 
pick up an opossum skewered with an arrow, said Animal Care & Control Capt. Gina 
DiPace. The animal died, she said.

They also received multiple calls this week about a Muscovy duck with an 
arrow stuck through both its wings, DiPace said. They finally caught the duck 
Thursday near Royal Palm Beach Boulevard and U.S. 441 and treated it for its 
wounds. DiPace said the attacks amounted to animal cruelty, a felony. Anyone with 
information about who might have shot the animals is asked to call 561-233-1200.
