AR-News: (US TN) Governor?s One-Shot Turkey Event More Than A Hunt

Next Saturday?s Third Annual Governor?s One Shot Turkey Hunt in Pulaski 
offers a full slate of activities along with a little turkey hunting. The Tennessee 
Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) said the celebration will take place on 
April 10. 
While Governor Phil Bredesen will join approximately 60 other hunters 
participating in an early fundraising turkey hunt, the Giles County Tourism 
Foundation has plans to include everyone in its ?Gobbler?s Gala? in downtown Pulaski. 
The activities kickoff at 9 a.m. and end at 3 p.m. A banquet and auction will 
begin a few hours later at Cardin Distributing also in Pulaski. Among the 
events planned will be a ?turkey roll? competition where contestants will attempt 
to make the longest downhill roll of frozen turkeys at the corner of Jefferson 
and 1st streets.
