AR-News: (AU) Focus put on livestock transport responsibilities

The Department of Primary Industries says beef producers and livestock 
transporters need to be aware of their obligations under Queensland's animal welfare 
laws. 
Project leader Bomber Lancaster says with reports of cattle travelling 
thousands of kilometres to saleyards, it is vital stock are fit enough to travel and 
animal welfare standards are maintained when they arrive.
