AR-News: (CA/US)Radical environmentalist ordered detained by Canadian judge

VICTORIA, British Columbia — A Canadian judge ordered a radical
environmentalist wanted by the FBI detained Monday, after the American was
caught allegedly trying to steal bolt cutters from a tire store.

A Canadian government spokesman said U.S. officials are working with
Canadian counterparts to extradite Michael Scarpitti, who says he has
legally changed his name to Tre Arrow.

The FBI says Arrow has links to crimes claimed by the Earth Liberation
Front, considered a terrorist organization by the U.S. agency. The FBI
offered a $25,000 reward for his capture.
