When you're creating emergency plans in case of a storm, tornado or other
disaster, don't forget your furry friends.
Pets are not allowed inside emergency shelters, so if you're forced out of
your home, you'll need a plan in place to take care of your pets.
The Cat Fanciers' Association offers these tips:
• Keep a photographic record of all of your pets, being sure to include any
distinguishing marks. Keep the photos with other important papers, including
vaccination records, and put them in resealable plastic bags that can be posted
outside during rainy weather.
