AR-News: (US NY) SPCA seeks dog shooting leads

NEWFIELD -- Officials are looking for information about a dog found shot in 
the head last month in Newfield. 
The Tompkins County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals 
identified the dog -- a female Shepherd-type with tan and brown fur -- as "Tasha." 
The SPCA is pursuing leads as to how Tasha ended up dead during the 
Valentine's Day weekend on Carter Creek Road and is offering a $500 reward for 
information leading to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrator.
