AR-News: (US-tx)County cockfighting ring busted

SANTA FE — One of the largest cockfighting rings in the county’s recent
history met its end Sunday afternoon after a neighbor called the sheriff’s
department on a noise complaint.

The Galveston County Sheriff’s Department received the complaint from a
neighbor around 2:30 p.m. Sunday and sent three deputies along with two
Santa Fe police officers to the residences at 4515-17 Franks Road.
