No-kill shelter always looking for places for pets

MIDDLETOWN | A Middletown nonprofit agency has an unusual and very 
challenging clientele — its guests are needy, messy and don't always get along with each 
other.
They're the dogs and cats of Progressive Animal Welfare Society, Middletown's 
animal adoption center. PAWS is a rare no-kill shelter, where the animals are 
not euthanized. The PAWS no-kill philosophy is so well-known that it has 
customers from as far away as Adams County
