AR-News: (CA) Siberian tiger too good for proposed mate

SAINT JOHN, N.B. (CP) - Most guys who are loners, living at home with their 
moms, aren't so picky when it comes to the ladies. 
But whether it's something in the swagger of Baikal, a 360-kilogram Siberian 
tiger, or just his DNA, he's simply too much of a stud to settle for any 
ordinary cat. 
The rare tiger, with his beige colouring and black markings, will go without 
love for a little while longer after his New Brunswick zoo ruled out a 
potential mate this month, based on her breeding. 
"Genetically, she's way down on the scale," said Lynda Collrin, referring to 
Baikal's intended mate.
