WINNIPEG - The U.S. government is getting ready to review e-mails on
whether to reopen the border to Canadian cattle, but so far most letters
have been from Americans opposed to the proposal.
Although the United States Department of Agriculture says its final
decision will be based on science, it plans to consider all views mailed
to its website.
"I think everyone should write down their comments and send them to the
USDA, and just tell them how they feel about this," says Rod Coughlin, a
Manitoba cattle seller. "Maybe we can get the ball rolling."
