Wolves in Alaska

To the Editor:

Thanks for your March 14 editorial "Wolf `Control' in
Alaska." Many of us in Alaska are against the shooting of
wolves from airplanes and helicopters as well as the use of
traps and snares.

I am sure that only forceful public opinion will sway Gov.
Frank Murkowski, who seems determined to impose his
attitude toward wildlife on Alaskans.

Alaska is the last place in the United States where a
natural ecosystem could flourish, but there are some who
seem not to want this to happen.
