Subject: Please help Terry the chimp!

Hello fellow activists,

I received the following in my email, and I'm pleading for your help:

His name is Terry, and he lives at the Southern Nevada Zoological Botanical Park in Las Vegas, NV. He used to be in the Ice Capades. He came to this zoo with another chimp, who died shortly after arrival. I would not say he necessarily lives in a life-threatening situation, although this "zoo" has a questionable reputation as far as animal care is concerned. The fact that he is alone and can't REALLY escape public view (they say there is a place outside for that, but I don't know...) is what bothers me. And I hope it isn't too hot for those animals (there are big cats, some monkeys, birds, goats and reptiles as well) there during the scorching summer months.

I don't believe the owners of this zoo wish to part with the animal that probably puts food on their table. (They want another chimp, supposedly so Terry wouldn't be alone.)

And Terry still waits...

Superstar Chimp Leads a Lonely Life

Can you help this chimp get to a sanctuary?

Sincerely,

Jackie Miller
