AR-News: (US OH) Butler County Dealing With Pit Bull Problems

There are some potentially very dangerous dogs roaming Tri-state 
neighborhoods. 
The dogs are pit bulls and they are loose because their owners are too scared 
if they turn the dog over to a shelter they will get in trouble. 
Animal control officers in Butler County said it is now "trendy" to own a pit 
bull or other dogs known as vicious. 
They said once some people realize how hard they are to take care of they 
dump them and that's bad for the dogs and the people living nearby. 
One six-month-old pit bull mix at a local shelter is like dozens of others 
recently dropped on Butler County roads or in fields. 
Animal officers said over the last 10 weeks they've picked up 70 like her.
