Using new teeth in state law, Marion County law enforcement is tackling an 
old problem: dog fighting.
The Indianapolis Police Department, city and Crime Stoppers of Central 
Indiana today announced a unique partnership aimed at getting more convictions of 
people who turn household pets or strays loose on each other, often for money.
"It's the first of its kind in the nation solely devoted to dog fighting," 
said Jeff Bennett, administrator for Animal Care & Control.
