Circle of Friends offers grants for spaying, neutering, to combat 
overpopulation

Some days when they get to work, they find a dog tied to their door.
Or a cardboard box quivering as eight kittens tumble over each other inside.
The trip to the Circle of Friends Humane Society isn't as direct for some 
unfortunates, like the little dog found in a Dumpster last week.
Some of their stories will have happy endings. For others, though, it's a 
quiet, gentle ending.
The problem, says Executive Director Arlette Moen, is simple. There are too 
many animals and not enough good homes.
