THE RSPCA and Toowoomba police are investigating the bizarre theft of six
horse tails from a farrier's paddock.

The tails were cut off the pet horses last week while owner Bob Hayes was in
a Brisbane hospital with heart problems.
"It's a rotten lousy thing to do," Mr Hayes said.
"Don't ask me for a quote about what I said when I found out. I was bloody
annoyed."
While police have neither leads nor motive, Mr Hayes said he believed the
tails could be destined for the fake tail market, where they could be
collectively sold for more then $2,000.
