AR-News: (US ID) Proposal aims to ensure Idahoans’ right to hunt

An Idaho legislator wants to make sure no one can take away your right to 
hunt bears, cougars and, someday soon, wolves. 
Rep. Clete Edmunson is asking his legislative colleagues to let voters change 
the Idaho Constitution to make hunting a right akin to the right to vote. 
His resolution passed the House earlier this month and now awaits action 
before a Senate committee whose chairman says he´s not sure when, or whether, 
he´ll move forward on a proposal that could have unintended consequences. 
The aim of the resolution is to make it harder for anti-hunting groups to 
pass a ballot initiative that would curtail Idahoans´ rights to hunt, trap or 
fish.
