AR-News: (CA) Snow Goose Spring Conservation Harvest: Integrated Management Plan to be Ma

Environment Canada confirmed that a
Greater Snow Goose conservation harvest will be held this spring. The harvest
will take place from April 1 to May 31 in the southern part of Quebec and from
May 1 to June 30 in northern Quebec. Hunting is authorized solely in
agricultural areas, except where intensive geese watching activities are
common such as the Lac Saint Pierre and Montmagny areas.
    The regulations for 2004 are the same as those adopted in 2003 except for
hunters that if they wish to use recorded bird calls, they must do so with
Snow Geese in white phase decoys only.
