THUGS 'cooked' a puppy in a tub of boiling water.

The agonies suffered by the cross terrier were only realised when it was
handed to a family who took it to the vet.

Its skin had peeled off in the sickening attack and it eventually had to
be put down.

Animal welfare officers are now trying to trace the original owners who
handed it to a family whose little boy took an interest in the 12-week-old
pet in their white Transit van.
