AR-News: (US MD) Man Steals Puppy, Then Loses Nerve and Apologizes

Glen Burnie, Md. (AP) - Anne Arundel County Police say a Brooklyn Park man 
tried to steal a pit bull puppy from Pets Galore in Glen Burnie last week. He 
later returned to the store later and apologized. 

Police say 18 year old William Blackburn was charged with theft. 

Employees of the store on East Furnace Branch Road say Blackburn grabbed the 
dog, put it under his jacket, and ran out of the store. 

An employee chased Blackburn, who tried to put the dog in a car, but ended up 
leaving it behind. 

Shortly afterward, Blackburn returned to apologize and turn himself in.
