AR-News: (US ID) Ex-hunter turns into rare pheasant fanatic

The Idaho StatesmanBarney Lewis bought his first game birds with visions of 
pheasant dinners. Instead, the birds he bought to hunt made him hang up his 
guns. “I don’t want to kill anything anymore,” he said. “Feral cats are a 
problem because they go after my birds. I find that one of the hardest jobs in the 
world for me now is to shoot a cat. I let them get away with murder around 
here.” 
Hunters shoot birds outside Lewis´ fence every fall, oblivious to the rare 
birds inside. Even those who spot them and sneak a peek don´t know what they´re 
seeing.
