Fresno State did not break any rules when its equestrian team staff injected
horses with a tranquilizer before competitions, according to a review by the
California Department of Food and Agriculture.
The CDFA, which bans the use of acepromazine at public horse shows, said
Friday it does not have jurisdiction over Fresno State events. It had been unclear
whether those events fell under CDFA jurisdiction.
