Cirebon, W Java, March 5 (ANTARA) - President Megawati Soekarnoputri said 
fishermen should be friendly to the environment when exploiting marine potentials 
so as to sustain them. 
"An environmnet-friendly approach will guarantee the sustainability of our 
marine resoruces through the years and minimize environmental damage. The use of 
explosives and poison to catch fish is thus not allowed," the head of state 
said in a dialog with fishermen here Friday. 
On the occasion, the president also called on fishermen to take care of their 
respective environs both at sea and on land all the time.
