Hopefully many of you will know of Barbara and all the wonderful things she has done and continues to do out in the middle of nowhere in Australia.
I know she is far away and we have so many in need where we are.
but please, please, please, spread the word, send what you can ($1)  will make a difference! please help, there is no-one else out there to help all those needy animals.

Sorry we have to send this urgent message, but the situation is now desperate, ARRG cannot continue to meet all the animal welfare needs in this region, without any help to build a shelter/centre. ARRG has lived out of temporary homes and shops for over 10 years, while we attempt to deal with all animal related issues on the Far North Coast. Our attempts to get land from the local councils has failed, even though we have taken thousands of unclaimed animals from their pounds at no charge to council, they have failed to come through for us.
Our attempts to raise money to purchase land is not realistic as all our money goes to pay the vet bills for the rescued animals vet work. We also pay many vet bills for owners when they have no money to treat their pets, how can you deny these animals help, we operate in an area of extreme poverty and if an animal needs help we must respond. But there goes our savings again.
Can you help expose our plight as we cannot continue this way after late 2004 this is our deadline for struggling this way, we will have to close the group. Our founder has to leave to return to UK in 2005 for urgent family matters and without her support the group without a shelter cannot go on. Our obvious concern is what will happen to all the dumped litters and unwanted animals in this region when we close, even the rangers say they dread this happening. Please give our group's plight any support or exposure you can.
We welcome any help you can give us.
