The Fund for Animals, a national animal protection organization, is urging 
the Houston Department of Health and Human Services to deny a permit for Landry’
s Restaurant to exhibit a live tiger and lion.


"Entertainment exhibits that use wild animals are a serious danger to the 
public and a liability to the city," said Andi Bernat, Program Coordinator for 
The Fund for Animals. "When dangerous animals such as tigers and lions are kept 
in cages and displayed at public events, their behavior is unpredictable." 
Many humans have been seriously injured or killed as a result of an attack by an 
exotic animal
