EAST BAY - Here is a weekly listing of pets available for adoption at area 
animal shelters, as well as contact information and other resources for finding 
a pet. 
For the love of cats 
PawsWatch, a group dedicated to cats and humane management and control of the 
local feral cat population, is hosting its first open dinner meeting on 
Wednesday, March 24. The meet and greet portion begins at 6 p.m., and dinner begins 
at 6:30, at Sakonnet Fish Company Restaurant, 657 Park Ave, Portsmouth. 
Dinner choices include cod, chicken and veggie pasta. There will be raffle 
and door prizes and and a cash bar. Cost is $17 per person and reservations must 
be made by Wednesday, March 10.Send check to PawsWatch, at P.O. Box 3711, 
Newport, RI 02840. Specify "Annual Dinner Reservations."
