As many as ten million giant Russian crabs, originally brought to Europe by
Stalin in the 30's, are moving south around the coast of Norway, leaving a
destroyed ecosystem in their wake. Scientists think they may get as far south as
Gibraltar.

The crabs, which have a claw span of up to three feet, and can weigh up to
twenty-five pounds, are eating everything in their path as they go, leaving
behind what scientists are calling an "underwater desert".
Norway's citizens are divided, some fearing the loss of their fishing stock
as the crabs continue their march, while others are rejoicing at the chance to
try to make a profit on the crabs, considered a delicacy in many parts of the
world.
