AR-News: (AU/TH)Greens push for elephant exhibit ban

[Animalconcerns]

Green groups are urging Sydney's Taronga Zoo to abandon efforts to
purchase four elephants from Thailand.

New South Wales Greens MP Lee Rhiannon says documents obtained under
Freedom of Information show the zoo has been negotiating for the past
three years to import two adult female and two baby elephants in exchange
for native wildlife.
