Lucky The Two-Legged Dog

(WCCO) He's not your average four-legged friend, but that's what makes Lucky 
the dog so special. 

Lucky for Lucky, when a car broke both his back legs five years ago, it 
happened right outside a pet hospital. Dr. Becky Wilkenson cared for Lucky when he 
came through her door.

When she couldn't find the dog's owner, Dr. Wilkenson had to make a tough 
decision. Because he had no hind legs, she just about decided to put Lucky to 
sleep. But an interesting twist kept her from giving up on him.

"But we immediately saw when we took him out to go to the bathroom, he would 
support himself on two legs."

To help Lucky walk, Dr. Wilkenson had a wheelchair made for him. But the 
fluffy little fellow wanted no part if it.

"He just lifted it straight up in the air and would walk with it."

Lucky's now the clinic mascot, helping other unlucky animals recover from 
surgery
