AR-News: (US MI) Zoo wolf remains on the loose

Staff is confident it's in Battle Creek area

BATTLE CREEK -- A Mexican gray wolf remains free more than seven weeks after 
it escaped from the Binder Park Zoo, despite ongoing efforts to locate, 
capture and return the rare animal. 
Staff members said they believe the 20-month-old wolf still is in the area. 
"We are still receiving very positive phone calls and other evidence, which 
leads us to believe he is in fact still within 5 to 10 miles of the zoo," said 
zoo President Greg Geise. "The search has extended longer than we had 
anticipated, but we remain hopeful and determined."
