PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- The Burgerville chain is joining a handful of
fast-food chains nationwide committed to use beef raised on vegetarian
feed -- no growth-stimulating hormones, antibiotics, steroids or
genetically modified grains.
On Monday, Burgerville will start be selling Oregon Country Beef burgers
at all of its outlets.
The decision follows the nation's first case of mad cow disease,
discovered in December in a Washington state Holstein.
