Hello, my name is Jessica . We are having a very big problem with our
Washington County Dog Wardens. On Friday 02-19-04 one of them had found a
female pit bull as a stray wearing a purple nylon collar with no tags or
I.D. When that particular DW brought her in they filled out there normal
piece of paper with owner being unknown

Sex female
Age 6 months
Breed Pitbull
Where she was picked up at 900 block on 9th street in Marietta Ohio
the date which is 02-19-04
What she had on was a purple nylon collar

Then at the very bottom of this piece of white paper it says IF OWNER DOES
NOT RECLAIM DESTROY IN (3) THREE DAYS!!!

They have done this in the past to us before. Put a death sentence on a
sweet breed that is named vicious all because of the name they have gotten.

My big question is they used to let me have a chance to get rescues to
take these sweet babies, but ONLY if the rescues was not located in Ohio.
They no longer allow this as someone had told them that I lied about one
of the pit bulls and that I did not get it off to rescue and adopted it
out instead. But they have no proof of this even though they tell me
everyday they will bring it and show it to me.

They will not even allow me to adopt this one out. The DW that brought her
in also stated that she tried to bite him (what a bunch of crap) and he
took a picture of her for his file so he would have evidence that he did
bring her in to us.

Can anyone help me out on what I can do to prevent this baby from being
put to sleep. I only have until tom. to state my case as Tuesday she will
get put to sleep.

Is there a rescue willing to take her in and speak with this DW and fax
all there paper work and everything to prove to him that she is going to a
rescue??

We named this baby Maggie. Sat we had boy scouts come to our shetler and
all the boys fell in love with her she was so gentle with them and so
loving. I did white out there faces as I did not want to post them, but
she is at the bottom on the picture as well.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
