A REGIONAL coordinated fox bait and shoot across the South-West of the State
is being organised for maximum impact on what is becoming a major problem for
farmers.
Extending from Albany to Pingelly, and involving 20 natural resource
management groups/shires, it is one of the largest attempts at feral animal control in
the region.
Landholders are being coordinated by local Landcare and APB officers, who are
liaising across the region with CALM, the Department of Agriculture and the
media.
Many shires and local clubs are holding fox shoots around the same time.
Any landholder or groups who wish to be a part of the drive should contact
their local landcare officer.
