Popular dog turns 10 March 15, which will be Gucci Day in Mobile

He's gotten a law named after himself, campaigned for funds and motivated the 
populace, and at the Mobile City Council meeting Tuesday, he was back in the 
public eye. 
"If he were a human, he'd be the governor, the way he works a crowd," said 
Doug James, the Spring Hill College professor who owns the state's most 
influential pooch, Gucci. 
Mayor Mike Dow proclaimed March 15 -- the dog's 10th birthday -- to be Gucci 
Day in Mobile in honor of the dog who survived a horrific attack as a pup to 
become the scarred face of a crusade against animal abuse.
