AR-News: (India) Experts plead for steps to save vultures

Chandigarh, Vultures may not be the most likeable creatures, but there is 
growing support for steps to save them from extinction. International wildlife 
experts have warned all countries that if adequate measures were not taken 
immediately, vultures might vanish from the face of the earth. 
They have suggested captive breeding of three different varieties of vultures 
to save this species of scavengers. 
The only specialised captive vulture management centre in South Asia is at 
Pinjore in Haryana near here.
