AR-News: (US IL) 25 DOGS SEIZED

(WAND)  Animal control officers seize 25 dogs Monday in rural Macon County.  
WAND News was on the scene when the raid happened.  The dogs had no food and 
no water.  Only one of the dogs has a rabies vaccine and is properly licensed.  
Animal control wardens say their cages are unsafe and unsanitary.  There are 
also two pigeons, seven pigs, and a horse.  The owner wants to give up all but 
nine of the dogs.  They will be ready for adoption immediately.  The 
Department of Agriculture has been contacted about the livestock.  The owner could 
face fines, and possibly animal hoarding charges.
